Grit Is in Our DNA
Every Buffalonian knows that our souls are made up of steel and snow.
Our DNA is engraved with the hard work that the steel workers of the 1920s had put into our community. For anyone who’s unaware of the deep Buffalo history, The Bethlehem Steel factory was a major steel mill in Lackawanna that was once considered the largest steelmaking operation in the world.
Over 20,000 workers had been a part of the operation before it closed in 1983. Blue-collar workers have made Buffalo the city that it is, and it will continue to prosper with the hardworking DNA that was passed down within us natives.
Here at The Coppola Firm, first we’re Buffalonians before we’re anything else. We’re made of the same stock that fierce generations of workers exhibited before us. They’ve paved the way for us, and we’ll continue to fight the fierce storm, whether ice, snow or steel, to make sure that our clients are getting the support they need.
When Life Knocks You Down – Literally
Even the strongest workers get knocked down sometimes. We’re human, and it happens to the best of us. That doesn’t mean you have to take it with the salt that we pour on our sidewalks.
If you’ve been in an accident, remember that you’re a human who deserves to feel acknowledged. Accidents and injuries are a part of life because they can happen to anyone. We’re made of flesh and bones, and injuries need to get taken care of whether we’ve been bruised or broken, and that can happen both emotionally and physically.
These overwhelming life challenges are what make us stronger. For injury victims, we’re here to help you get to the other side where the grass is greener.
Compassion Is the Start, Not the Finish
Even with harsh accidents, we always remember that the first step is to be compassionate. As humans, we have the innate ability to understand one another and be empathetic – even in times where we don’t have to be. We start our client’s legal journey with a sense of understanding.
However, that doesn’t mean we ever back away from the justice you deserve.
Everyone needs to be compensated for the way they’ve been treated. We make sure to fight hard for what you deserve. We use creative strategies and our years of experience to get our clients the money that compensates them.
Fighting for Buffalo Workers and Their Families
In Buffalo, there are accidents happening every day. One of the most common cases of injury is slipping on ice. This could happen anywhere in the Buffalo Niagara region, especially at the beginning or during the height of the winter season. Of course our clients try their best to wear appropriate footwear with good traction and to walk slowly. But some locations are dangerous, and even being careful isn’t enough to prevent a slip, trip, or a fall on snow or ice.
Often an injury caused by ice or snow is someone else’s fault. For example, property owners have a legal duty to make sure their walkways, sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots are cleared of snow and ice. But they don’t always take care to do this, and when they’re careless, it’s called negligence. Negligence is a big legal word for being careless, and failing to maintain a safe environment is an example of negligence. When this happens, we help our injured clients recovery the money they deserve for their physical injuries and their pain and suffering.
Other accidents common around Western New York are car crashes. According to the U.S Department of Transportation, 40,901 people died from vehicle crashes in 2023. That’s a devastating number, and it doesn’t even reflect the numbers of people hurt in vehicle accidents — a whopping 2.44 million.
In Buffalo, one of the snowiest cities in the country, vehicle crashes and collisions happen daily.
If there’s a chance of being injured whether out driving, walking, or even skiing, we want you to feel represented and encouraged in your process of getting the assistance you need.
