Lisa Coppola

In the 35 years she has practiced in New York, Lisa has actively litigated cases in State and Federal courts. She has a breadth of experience in business litigation as well as high-exposure personal injury matters, including taking cases to verdict over the course of many years and in many courtrooms. While she is comfortable before a jury, she equally is at home before appellate and arbitration panels, and she has a sweet spot for counseling and coaching business owners and executive management.

In addition to advocating for her clients, Lisa is a certified mediator for the New York Courts and Federal Court for the Western District of New York.  She also authored the New York-compliant, online sexual harassment training at coppolatrainings.com.  She currently serves on the board of the SPCA Serving Erie County, where she chairs its Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging committee.

Lisa is peer-rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America and Upstate New York Super Lawyers, and was named to the 2024 and 2025 Business First Power 200 Women Lists.

Previously, Lisa was a partner at Buffalo-based Hodgson Russ and was honored to be the first female litigator named equity partner there.
