Governor Kathy Hochul signed the Adult Survivors Act, creating a one-year lookback window for survivors of sexual assault that occurred when they were over the age of 18 to sue their abusers regardless of when the abuse occurred.

The Coppola Firm is here to stand by you, with compassion and guidance, so you can come forward and start the process before the one year window opens this fall.

The one-year lookback window begins six months from signing, in November.

Survivors of sexual abuse have their right to seek just compensation — even if the survivor was an adult at the time of the abuse.
