New York sexual harassment laws require each employer – no matter how large or small – to train its entire workforce on how to eliminate and avoid sexual harassment.

This training must be completed annually, and with the summer months looming, now might be a good time to get it done. Besides, best practices dictate that the training should occur sooner rather than later. Obviously, if an employee files a claim at the State Division of Human Rights or the EEOC, they’ll consider whether the employer trained its employees to prevent sexual harassment.
