  • HR Alert: NY Employers Should Post Voting Leave Notices Now

New York law now requires employers to provide employees with paid time off to vote.  Employers are obligated to provide employees with notice of their rights at least 10 working days before an election.

The next election is November 5, 2019.  Depending on your company work week, this means employers need to post the required notice some time this week, perhaps as soon as tomorrow!

A step-by-step guide about employer obligations is available here.  If you have specific questions about how to comply, contact us.
