Workers at Mercy Hospital have filed discrimination suits against the hospital, claiming that Black employees are assigned more difficult cleaning jobs than white employees, and that white employees who attempted to report the treatment were retaliated against. Represented by Lisa Coppola and Jennifer Scharf, the complaint names Mercy Hospital, Catholic Health, Metz Culinary Management Inc., and well as two of the Pennsylvania company’s hospital-based supervisors. The Mercy Hospital workers experienced racist misconduct by the defendants.
